CUG Conference, Stuttgart

Sandwiched between my two excursions into Switzerland was the purpose of this trip: to attend a computer conference in Stuttgart.

The 40th Cray User Group meeting was held in Stuttgart, Germany, a clean and pleasant city with no shortage of rain. Chuck and I left Schaffhausen and drove north on highway 81 into Germany. The conference kept us busy during the days and evenings, but we did get to visit the Mercedes-Benz Museum for the conference banquet!

After the conference was over, we drove southwest back toward Switzerland. But we took a detour toward the Black Forest region of Germany. One stop along the way was at the House of 1000 Clocks where we both bought several Cuckoo Clocks to bring home as gifts.
